Bio

Katie Holliday is the owner of Carmody Holliday Legal Services, PLLC, in Missoula, Montana. She is admitted to practice law in the state of Montana, the United States District Court for the District of Montana. (She is licensed, but currently inactive, in the State of Ohio, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.) She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Montana in Missoula, Montana. Katie graduated from Syracuse University College of Law in Syracuse, New York with a Juris Doctorate degree. After practicing outside of Montana for several years, Katie returned to Montana in 2008 and shortly thereafter founded her law firm.

Katie is recognized for her deep understanding of her clients' businesses, her ability to anticipate and prepare for the unexpected, and her skill in guiding clients through complex real estate and business challenges.

Katie practices in all aspects of real estate law, purchase and sale of ranch property, business law, renewable energy and all aspects of estate planning and probate. Regularly her work includes, assisting clients with the sale and acquisition of businesses and real estate. Often, these same clients return for personal estate planning needs. She has represented clients across the State of Montana on real estate, mineral rights transactions, cell tower and renewable energy (solar and wind) development. As a part of her comprehensive real estate practice, Katie also assists clients (private and local governments) with regulatory matters, including zoning and local land use issues.

Katie resides with her husband (who is also a University of Montana alumnus) and sons in rural Missoula County, Montana. In her spare time, she enjoys supporting local community endeavors, horse-packing trips with her family in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, alpine and cross-country skiing, and hiking.
